About
Hariyali Teej is a traditional festival that celebrates the bounty of the monsoon, and the deep bond between man and nature. Over the last few years, we have attempted to revive this beautiful festival, which is barely celebrated in urban India.
The format of our Teej celebrations incorporates key elements of traditional celebrations. Held in an outdoor venue, we recreate the magic of monsoon swinging. The dress code for the evening is green, in keeping with the mood of the season. Bangle sellers, mehendi artists and craftspeople are invited to add colour to the participants. The women deck up in full glory rivaling the Teej goddess. Traditional sawan foods, like Ghevar, Feni and Andarse ki Goli are prepared by special caterers. And we dance to monsoon music all evening…!
Teej is also a time for sawan melas – monsoon fairs and markets. This year, we invite you to a special Teej Design Mela featuring cutting edge and sustainable design practices. Buy art, fashion, crafts, and design from the best talent in the city!
